Lake City Union Church
On March 7, 1971 Trinity United Methodist Church, formed in 1856, and The First United Presbyterian Church, formed in 1881, joined together to become the Church of Christ Uniting. On May 5, 1974 the members of the two churches voted to dissolve the Church of Christ Uniting and become The Lake City Union Church.
On September 8, 1974 they held a formal service of union. After much study and discussion, the members voted to build a new church connecting it to the existing Christian Education building of The First Presbyterian Church. The Trinity United Methodist Church, The First United Presbyterian Church, and the manse were torn down and a new building was begun. The congregation worshiped at the Pilgrim Lutheran Church until the building was completed.
On December 7, 1980 the Lake City Union Church building was consecrated.
On March 15, 1981 the tracker organ built by Dobson Organ Company of Lake City was dedicated.
